SSS lamp

Posted in 3D with tags , , , on April 27, 2012 by aevis

A little lamp i saw in a tea-place i went to. Loved the effect of the intersecting lines with subsurface scattering and tried to recreate it . I think i pretty much got it, with the exception of some artifacts that were generated by the render engine. The picture has some of the noise removed via post-processing, which is why it’s a little blurry 😦

Simulation for a potential coffee place

Just a really short project where i was required to create the tables, chairs, forged metal structure. Everything else is lacking detail because of that very reason. Also there’s displacement on the floor 😀

Trailer #2

Same idea as Trailer #1. Renders are a bit low-res because of the small timeframe I had available for rendering. 😦

Space Ship / High Altitude Plane ?

Posted in 3D with tags , , , on August 12, 2010 by aevis

Based on a couple of reference pics i snatched off the web , and with a couple of personal modifications , i present to you my attempt at a fighter spaceship / plane. Modelled in 3dsMax using Poly Modelling , rendered in all instances with Final Render using

basic shiny materials. I mostly enjoy modelling which is why i never had a go at properly texturing this.
